Principal: Enterprise Architect

Job Purpose

  • The PEA pro-actively and holistically helps and guides the Enterprise Leaders, Product Managers, Product Owners and distributed product delivery teams through transformation and optimization initiatives, supporting the formulation of business strategy, outcomes and capabilities.
  • The PEA’s scope of activities could include helping the organization achieve targeted business outcomes related to growing revenue, optimizing costs, mitigating risks and improving sustainability. They focus on the development of the business, IT strategy and overall enterprise architecture of the organization.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

Honours / Postgraduate Diploma (NQF 8) in Information Technology, Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Finance AND a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an Information Technology environment, of which 3-4 years at specialist level.

ALTERNATIVE#


Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Information Technology, Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Finance AND a minimum of 15 years’ experience in an Information Technology environment, of which 3-4 years at senior specialist level.

Minimum Functional Requirements

  • 10-12 years’ experience in an Enterprise Architecture discipline.
  • Experience and knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, toolsets and MS Office.
  • Certifications required:
    • Relevant Architecture Certification (TOGAF 9 or higher).
    • Microsoft Certification or CISCO Certification
  • Knowledge of IBM Technologies – having certification in IBM is advantageous.

Senior Specialist: Engineering (Innovation and Solutioning x 5)

Job Purpose

To facilitate the adoption of new leading edge ‘Game Changer’ concepts in support of the SARS Vision 2024 enterprise strategy. This is achieved through research and benchmarking, participating in open collaboration networks, identifying and conceptualising innovation solution designs, the incubation of concepts (e.g., prototyping, piloting, etc.) and implementation of solution designs.

The outcomes are utilised to define product features, develop their implementation roadmaps in the SARS business architecture and business solutions landscape, and ensure that the designs support the achievement of sustainable business results, including the provision of design and implementation support and conducting stakeholder engagement.

About the Position

The Strategic Planning and Modernisation (SPM) unit was created to support SARS in its goal of building a technologically advanced, smart, and modern SARS. The Data Analyst along with the Design and Enablement team, will drive data driven problem solutions with a particular focus on modernisation initiatives across SARS.

SARS is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Specialist Data Analyst to join our team. Lead Specialist: Benefit Realization (Projects)

Job Purpose

As a Lead Benefit Realisation Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing internal investment opportunities within the organization. You will work closely with various departments to develop and implement strategies that optimize our internal capital investments and drive business growth.
