Gauteng College of Nursing Student Nurse Intake 2025
The Department of Health is inviting applications for the 2025 Student Nurse Intake at the College of Nursing (GCON). Prospective students can apply to study towards a Diploma in Nursing at one of the following campuses: Ann Latsky, Bonalesedi, Chris Hani Baragwanath, or SG Lourens.
Requirements
To qualify, applicants must be South African citizens residing in Gauteng and hold one of the following certificates:
- Senior Certificate (Standard 10), National Senior Certificate (Grade 12), or National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4.
- Special consideration will be given to applicants from Quintile 1, 2, or 3 schools in townships, informal settlements, and hostels.

Candidates who meet the subject criteria, along with nursing professionals such as Nursing Auxiliaries or Enrolled Nurses, are also welcome to apply. Shortlisted applicants will undergo psychometric assessments and medical surveillance, including a physical examination.
